The chapters on work and soul/spirit are also interesting. 4 stars for the first three chapters and work and spirit but the rest of it wasn't written in enough of a dynamic way to keep me interested. I am definitely an HSP. I personally like to read books with vibrant active verbs and not so passive so I guess that's why I lost interest. Too "academic" past chapter 3.Jamieson HaverkampfAuthor of the 4-time award winning 500+ resource guide Mom Minus DadMom Minus Dad: The Essential Resource Guide for Busy Adults with a Newly Widowed ParentMom Minus Dad: The Essential Resource Guide for Busy Adults with a Newly Widowed Parent (Kindle book version) I stumbled across this book and found the topic to be quite interesting especially chapters 1-3 that focus on facts about being an HSP and general heatth and lifestyle issues. Once I got to chapter four (p66 out of 232) I got bored and felt like the content repeated itself a lot from what had already been explained very well in the first couple of chapters.
I would definitely buy from this person again. The book was in very good condition and was shipped in a very timely manner.
I wrote an e-mail to sender and never received feedback on what I should do to receive the book I Paid For. I ordered The highly sensitive person and received the highly effective person.
Lots of helpful suggestions on how to improve your quality of life and lots of support via giving a broad perspective of how sensitive people fit into our culture and other cultures and how important we are in making positive changes in the world. This book is a must for anyone who is sensitive or who lives with or is close to a sensitive person.
Here are a few examples. This book was a disaster. If it redeemed itself in the final third I'll never know.Save your money. And save your money.
It's OK. Feel good about it. Enjoy it. There were none.
If so, then you're officially a 'highly sensitive person.' But that's OK. Feel good about it."I had hoped to find some strategies to deal with a world where one just can't avoid loud music, bright lights, crowds, other stuff like that. One of the few that I've ever given up on in disgust, about 2/3 of the way through. It's OK.
Lots of people are highly sensitive people. Here's what it says, over and over and over again: "Are you bothered by loud music, bright lights, crowds, other stuff like that. Indeed it's really great.
